Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan Self-Certification Training Scheduled for Thursday, February 17, 2022 - If you wish to self-certify your Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan (INMP) and have not yet obtained your certification, we have scheduled an online INMP Self-Certification Training at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022. To receive your self-certification, you must attend this 4-hour training and pass the test. Pre-registration is required. Click here to pre-register for the Feb. 17 online training.

2022 Annual Meeting Held via Pre-Recorded Video - The KBWQA Annual Meeting for the 2022 Water Year was pre-recorded in three parts, and Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are available for you to view at your convenience. The YouTube videos are available on the Members website, along with the PDF file. This year's agenda topics include: Administrative and Board Updates, a detailed explanation of the 2022 Budget & Assessment, Grower Management Practices & Reporting, Grower Reports, CV-SALTS & Kaweah Management Zone. 2021 KBWQA Grower Education Meetings Featured as Online Video Tutorial Series - Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Kaweah Basin Water Quality Association (KBWQA) did not hold in-person Grower Education meetings this winter. Instead, we developed a series of online video tutorials to guide members through completion of the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program reporting requirements. With a total of 14 comprehensive videos, the tutorial series covers topics including general updates, reporting requirements, online reporting, and paper forms. Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan Self-Certification Continuing Education - For growers who have already passed the Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan (INMP) Self-Certification test, continuing education credit is required for re-certification at the end of your three-year certification period. The KBWQA has developed separate INMP continuing education courses, which are available online. Growers must take the associated quiz for each video to receive credit. Other opportunities for continuing education are also posted on the CDFA website

  • October 2020 Annual Meeting Held via Pre-Recorded Video - Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the in-person KBWQA Annual Meeting normally held in October was canceled. A meeting video was pre-recorded and posted on October 15, 2020. Links were distritibuted to growers via email. Agenda items include updates on KBWQA membership and the board of directors, regulatory updates, an overview and updates on CV-SALTS, overview of Tulare Lake Basin General Order revisions, and updates on grower reports.   • 2020 Grower Education Meetings Held January 8 and January 14 - The KBWQA held three grower education meetings: two on Wednesday, January 8 in Exeter, and one on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Tulare. Each of the three scheduled grower education meetings were identical, and attendance at one of the sessions fulfilled members' annual grower education requirement. Agenda topics included instructions on completing the required 2019 crop year Nitrogen Management Plan Summary Report, and the 2020 crop year Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan worksheet; utilizing the online grower database (ILRP Farm); and review of 2018 crop year Nitrogen Analysis Reports (NARs).
  • Annual Membership Meeting Held Thursday, October 10, 2019 at they Wyndham Hotel in Visalia - The KBWQA Annual Membership Meeting was held Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Wyndham Hotel in Visalia. The meeting agenda included discussions on general KBWQA and membership updates, board of directors update, 2020 project budget and assessment, regulatory updates, Tulare Lake Basin General Order updates, and grower reports (Nitrogen Analysis Reports and grower reported data).
  • KBWQA Annual Membership Meeting held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Visalia Convention Center - Agenda items for the KBWQA Annual Membership Meeting included: membership update; Board of Directors update; 2019 projected budget & assessment; surface water and groundwater monitoring and management practices; and member reporting requirements.
  • MPEP Technical Meeting held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 - The MPEP Technical Meeting held on March 2 at Visalia Elk's Lodge in Visalia included discussions on: an overview of the MPEP and what it has to do with the ILRP, what the MPEP will do for growers, how it will work and what it will produce, and an overview of management tools and information available for growers. We have posted the presentation online, as well as resources for the following crops: Walnuts, Almonds, Citrus, Grapes, and Tomatoes.

  • State Water Board Scheduled to Consider Adoption of the Revised ESJ General Order in January - Read more: Watershed Coalition News.
  • Enrollment Deadline: The deadline to join directly to the KBWQA ended on August 6, 2014. Growers/landowners will now need to provide a Notice of Intent (NOI) directly to the Regional Water Quality Control Board, pay applicable administrative fees, complete a KBWQA membership application, and will be subject to higher fees per acre. For more instructions, please visit the Join the Association page.
